This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a special education math resource teacher and co-teacher for 8th and 9th graders. This being my third-year teaching, I have learned that students learn better when they have opportunities for hands on learning. Being more familiar with our content standards, this project includes manipulatives to help facilitate our students learning. The materials included in this project will help the students converting fractions to decimals, positive and negative integers, place values, slopes and functions. These manipulatives should allow our students to have a hands on opportunity for learning at least once per unit throughout the school year.
