This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A typical day in my classroom is very busy. My students are very active and have tons of energy. Because of this, we do many hands-on learning activities. My school is a STEM based school. These math resources will aide in hands-on STEM activities.

I have ten boys and eight girls in my class.

They are all very sweet and happy kids. They love to learn and try new things. We all belong to a brand new charter school. We are all working together to create a wonderful new learning environment. The mission of my school is to foster pride in academic achievement for all students. We strive to provide the students with an environment to learn to be successful in a safe and orderly school.

My Project

The products I picked for this project are all fun self correcting Math Resources that can be used during workstations or RTI/Enrich Block to help students master our math standards. I chose many different types of math centers, games, and hands on resources that support the first grade curriculum and differentiated instruction within the first grade classrooms. Students will use the skip counting puzzles to help learn how to count by 2's, 5's and 10's. They will use the self correcting match up games to practice grade level standards and speed up their fact fluency. Higher level students can use the missing addend puzzle to help introduce them to basic algebraic skills. And finally the folder games can be given out to individual students to work on specific areas that need practice.

This resources will benefit my students as well as the other six first grade classes by giving the students immediate feedback as they play the games to help them master the standards.

They will all reinforce key standards and help them practice while having fun.
