My students need math games such as geometric solids kit and Match Decimals Game and supplies such as various binder clips, multiple markers, pens and to make math games.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are always looking for hands-on ways to improve our Math classrooms.
My students attend a magnet school and are very serious about their education.
They enjoy being challenged and learning in new ways. They enjoy turning vocabulary words into songs and posters. This way they own the information and are not just memorizing.
My Project
My students need math games such as geometric solids kit and Match Decimals Game and supplies such as various binder clips, multiple markers, pens and dry erase contact paper, to make math games. My students never use a textbook to do math. We are constantly doing hands-on activities. I am asking for supplies that the kids can use to be creative.
I watch my kids do much better when they don't have to use a textbook to learn. I love encouraging them to be artistic and this project does just that. My students are super talented children and they are so proud to see their room decorated with their work. I also requested numerous math games so we can play games to reinforce our math skills.
It is important for me to take my struggling math students and show them that math can be fun.
That everyone can learn and it doesn't have to be with paper and pencils. We will be using these supplies for our after schhol math club.
