My Project
I want to help my young students master early math skills with math manipulatives. Hands-on math is important because it helps students build conceptual understanding. The set of magnetic ten frames is ideal for teaching numbers, addition, subtraction, counting, number bonds, doubling, halving and multiplication. It gives students a fun new way to explore number sense, and place value. Connecting cubes is also a good learning tool to help children with math. The linking cubes helps children to develop essential fine motor skills as well as skills in math, grouping, patterning and color identification. My goal is to get learners of all abilities excited about math with a focus on cooperative play to build confidence.
