Hands-On Math Will Make Subtraction Awesome

My students need an exciting math manipulative to master the concept of subtraction.

My Students

My students need lots of subtraction practice! I don't believe learning the sometimes difficult skill of subtraction needs to be frustrating or tedious. Our class needs a new, interesting way to memorize subtraction facts so we can become math geniuses.

My second grade students are an inquisitive, energetic group who are always employing critical thinking skills in math.

We are a diverse group who come from every background of the local community. Every day they question, learn and grow. They are an inspiring group of kids who make every day interesting.

My Project

This math manipulative is amazing and FUN. Students can individually hold the manipulative and "wrap" the cord around to find the answer. There is also a spot to check your answer. This involves fine motor skills and whole brain thinking. In addition, the kit comes with math whole body exercises and hip-hop music for those kids who need more movement during math time.

I endeavor to be a teacher who innovates and thinks beyond the box.

I love teaching math and I often hope it's more than a textbook. There are so many types of learners who love to move, think and put down their pencil. I would love to reach those students!
