My Students

Do you know how difficult it is to learn math without hands-on materials? My students deserve the opportunity to experience and learn math in a fun and exciting way.

Our school has a high-poverty rate and is the largest elementary school in our district.

It is also one of the largest elementary schools in the state. My second grade classroom has 25 motivated children who enjoy school and learning. They arrive in my classroom every day ready to do their best. Several of my students are immigrants and English language learners. Although most of them face challenges, they are self-directed learners and have a great school attitude.

My Project

My students are motivated second graders who come to school each day ready to learn and grow. They love to interact and work together as they learn new things. The math materials I've requested in this project will help all of my students develop the necessary math concepts they need to succeed. In addition, the materials will provide ample opportunities for my students to interact with each other in a positive way as they develop their math skills.

The math materials I've requested will increase student learning by providing hands-on experiences. Those types of experiences are vital when children are learning difficult math concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, place value, problem solving, algebra, and data analysis.
