Our school is the largest elementary school in our district and has a high-poverty rate. My second grade classroom has 26 motivated children who love to read. They come to school every day ready to learn and do their best. Many of my students are immigrants and English Language Learners. Although most of them face challenges, they have a great school attitude and are self-directed learners.
