Hands-On Math Fun!

Help me give my students the ability to see the math that they are doing through the use of manipulatives! Students will also love the ability to practice their skills at math centers in the classroom.

My Students

Our school is an inner-city school, and our students come to us with all different backgrounds, abilities, and needs. For many of the students, school is the only consistent and stable environment that they have. This is where they get a lot of the support that they need to be successful in not just school but in becoming young adults.

The students have abilities that span out to a very wide range, and it is my goal to make sure that they make growth and meet the goals that they set.

Nearly all of the students who attend our school and are members of my classroom receive free lunches. They don't have the ability to purchase the supplies needed for each school day.

My Project

When teaching math some students just need the ability to touch items to help them process the problems. These math manipulatives will help the students to work through math problems as they start to get harder throughout the year.

Math centers are a great way for kids to practice their math skills in a non-stressful way with their peers!

Teachers pay teachers provides math centers that are easy to purchase and create for the classroom. The gift cards will make getting these materials easy for me and will benefit the students in so many ways.
