My Students
The COVID-19 pandemic may have left many of my students learning from home, but that doesn't mean the learning needs to stop!
Most of my students (72%) qualify for free or reduced lunch and 30% qualify for special education services.
However, this doesn't stop them from wanting to learn and achieve! They are kind, try their best, and have shown true perseverance during this difficult time.
We need your help so that we can make the best out of remote learning and give my students the top notch education they so deserve.
My Project
The 4th grade math curriculum is difficult enough for students to master, let alone during remote learning. Many students need to work with hands-on materials to help them master topics such as multi-digit multiplication, division, and comparing fractions. While New York City is engaged in blended learning, 3/4 of all my student are currently learning from home.
In order to address this learning gap, I am asking for a gift card for Teacher's Pay Teachers, as this will allow me to purchase digital hands-on math materials for my students.
This website offers a wide variety of options beyond the traditional worksheet that will not only engage my students but help them master these difficult 4th grade topics.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
