Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I would really appreciate your support in providing some hands on math activities for my hard working students! I try to make math as fun as I can. As they experience success their self confidence just goes up! Having the supply bags will make it easier for each student to keep their new tools organized and ready to work with! Each student will have their own dry-erase marker, an eraser, a laminated number line, base ten blocks to work with. The place value manipulatives will create hands-on experience for them to practice place value with. and will be used with the base ten place value, addition and subtraction dry erase boards. The frog balance will make it fun when they learn to compare numbers!

Success in math leads to an increase in their self esteem which raises their confidence in math which a lot of students are lacking!

I believe once a student experiences success in math they start to tell themselves that they can actually do it and they start to try harder. I was not good in math so I do everything I can to make sure my students don't learn to hate math and gain the skills they need to see success.

I have students that have made a lot of growth this year in math and I want to make sure that continues! I appreciate your generosity in helping me in helping my students achieve the most they can all along while building their self esteem too!
