I have been working with special education students with emotional and behavioral disabilities for the last dozen years. Next year, however, I will be making a change and working with Life Skills students.
My students are happy, curious, and look forward to coming to school each day.
They benefit from a variety of resources and learning/teaching styles. They deserve a classroom that inspires their desire to learn and try new things. My students deserve the best educational environment I can provide.
My Project
The materials I am requesting will assist my Life Skills students in accessing the curriculum laid out by our state. We will be able to level the playing field and help these students who often struggle in school to be successful.
By donating to our project you will be providing hands-on materials and manipulatives to students who will benefit the most.
Students with academic and intellectual struggles, and those with ADHD and Autism, need additional methods and ways to practice their skills and tasks. Sometimes they need ways to manage emotions and sensory needs. The items we are requesting will give them the extra help they deserve.
