We are a special education cooperative that serves students with autism in St. Clair County, Illinois. Our students cannot be served in their home schools due to their disabilities. We serve students from twenty-three different school districts.
My self contained classroom has eight Middle School aged boys who have autism.
My Project
My students learn by hands-on opportunities. These materials will help replace our outdated and broken materials in our classroom.
My students have autism and learn by doing.
The building sets will give them something to do during inside recess.
The timers, CVC word activities, and life skills materials will be added to our learning centers in our classroom.
Many of my students have sensory needs. Fidgets are great for my students. They are a quiet thing they can hold onto during instruction. They help with their anxiety.
