My Project

I teach at a low income, high poverty school district where students face numerous challenges both in and outside of the classroom. For this reason, I try to maintain a high level of learning and engagement that is both developmentally appropriate and fun!

Early learners learn best through hands on, real world experiences.

This project is FULL of literacy activities that would be used for years to come in the classroom. Several letter correspondence activities that fit along with our themes including treasure chest letter matching and Popsicle letter matching! There are also things like an ice chest (for field trips to hold sack lunches), a water kettle (for hot water when we are washing our water bottles), cleaning rags and other classroom necessities like table organizers, decorations and duct tape! Also added cleaning supplies to help with getting hard to clean, high traffic areas!
