Help me give my students hands-on literacy learning centers by helping to fund our Beginning and Ending Phonemic Awareness Boxes and the Alphabet Learning Locks.
As a kindergarten teacher, a day in my classroom is constant movement and energy. It is filled with excitement of new learning, happiness to see friends, and the joy of snack time.
My students are an active group that crave hands-on learning and experiences.
This is a large group of 24 students! They need structure and a consistent schedule to do their best work and learning. My students are sweet and loving. They love to learn new things and connect our learning to their lives.
Our school is doing our best to move forward with technology and curriculum. We use what little resources we have to prepare our students for the world that we live in. I love being a part of my school. We are constantly trying new things and raising money to purchase the materials we need to make our school the best learning environment for our students.
My Project
With the Find the Letter Activity Centers, Learn the Alphabet! Dough Mats, Alphabet Learning Locks, Word Building Puzzles, Alphabet Stamps, Fill in the Blank Phonics Stamps, Beginning and Ending Sounds Awareness Boxes, Beginning Sounds Center, Beginning Sound Bingo, and CVC Word Work Center, my students will have hands-on learning tools to use during center time. Being 5-6 years old, my students like to play and be able to physically hold onto things to help them learn. With these tools, they will be able to identify the beginning sounds of objects or build simple CVC (consonant, vowel, consonant) words. Having these skills will make my students better readers. These instant center activities will be easy and fun to implement in the classroom. Donations to this project will improve my classroom because my students will have more fun learning tools for center time. Learning with these tools will seem more like playing to them then learning. My students will love to have these hands-on tools and learning will be more meaningful to them then completing a worksheet. Having these items in my classroom will change my students' lives because they will be even more excited for learning. These tools are really geared towards their age.
