My Project

Each year I am faced with the challenge of differentiating tasks for my diverse group of learners. Some years, I have students with specific reading or math needs but this year is different. Currently, my students are working on being school-ready by completing different fine motor or learning activities to show compliance. Some of my current activities my students see as "old". So I thought to help keep them engaged in the final weeks of the year and for the beginning of next year (as my students stay with me year to year), I would add some new options.

In addition to demonstrating compliance, they are also working on their fine motor skills and their pre-reading skills which is why I have selected these hands-on activities.

Hands-on activities are so important in the early years of learning. Engaging young children in hands-on activities promotes cognitive growth, sensory development, creativity, and social skills. Through exploration and experimentation, children learn fundamental concepts, enhance their fine motor skills, and develop strong interpersonal abilities, setting a solid foundation for their overall development.

So if you could please donate, my students and I would greatly appreciate some not-so-old activities to continue to learn and grow!
