My Project

In our self-contained special education classroom the students progress at a faster rate when they have one-to-one, or one teacher to two students learning sessions. These items provide us a hands-on approach to teaching in these sessions. While we are working with students in small sessions, the other students use these hands-on learning tools to explore and practice at their desks. It is very important to have a variety of tools to meet each students' interests and to increase engaged learning on each student's level while at their seats. My goal is to keep students interested in learning by providing a variety of items in which they may choose. Research shows reduced behaviors and increased learning when they have a choice in how to perform academic tasks. With your support, these items will provide these choices and opportunities.
