Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students do best with visual support and hands-on tools to engage in their learning. My students are qualified for special education services. My students use accommodations to best access their learning environment.

This document camera and whiteboards will help engage more learning modalities by providing access to hands-on and visual learning opportunities.

My students will use the lined whiteboards to help with letter identification and formation. This is such a simple, yet effective, accommodation to have in place for any student. We will use the sensory letters to further generalize and strengthen our alphabetic knowledge. We can then use the new document camera to model work and display student work. When we are done using all these great materials, we will use the wipes to keep everything clean!

The impact of the Covid 19 pandemic was significant for my students. Virtual learning was not as supportive as in person learning for my students who thrive with the ability to engage in various leaning modalities. These materials will help my students learn in a way that best fits their needs.
