My Project

My students are so enthusiastic about learning in different ways. They love social studies and science! It is the best way for students to get a complete understanding and apply their learning to real life topics. These would be great resources for students to get some interactive activities DIY to enhance their learning.

The only way to get hands-on learning is by learning hands-on!

I would use a lot of the stationary to supplement the crafts and D.I.Y activities.We have been using wonderful programs like mystery science and generation genius. They each have many fun lessons that go along with the lesson plans but I do not have all of the resources to help them perform the tasks. Some lessons involve simple around the house items like cornstarch or tinfoil, that I do not have on hand in my classroom to do multiple projects with. Some projects need cups, and stationary items to do experiments. We also work a lot with plants and animals because those are our standards. Having the materials would mean alot to have for my students because it will be a great way for them to watch things grow and they will be able to say that they are the ones that grew them.

Students learn through experiences and activities. My students also need more interactive materials where they will be able to self direct some activities. I would like to purchase games and a lot of sensory items for them to have breaks between assignments. We are all visual learners and by creating a lasting impact on their learning these materials will help with social study and science activities.
