My Students

I have the opportunity of teaching a group of students with severe cognitive and physical disabilities. They come to school every day, despite their disabilities, to learn functional skills that will help them grow and become assets to our community. Just within the elementary community of our school they have an influences daily on our other students.

My students are the prime example that nothing can stand in your way of coming to school to grow and meet daily goals.

My students illustrate pure kindness, friendship, love, and dedication.

My Project

My students all require materials for their individual learning ability. Having different hands on items allows the students to learn but enough options without getting tired of the same things.

My students love color and having hands on puzzles to complete.

Having different activities for the students teaches them fine motor skills, counting, sorting, and labeling. All these skills are needed in daily living skills.

We also teach independence in the classroom. Having bins the students can access individually and complete work prepares my students for the future. Seeing overall success is the main reason for teaching.
