My students are English Language Learners. Most of them are newcomers to America. Even though they are scared, all I see are motivated individuals who deserve a great education. We live in Illinois. Ninety-nine percent of my students receive free lunch. The students need a lot of support from teachers, parents, and the community.
They simply need someone to believe in them.
They are smart individuals who can achieve excellence. I believe in them! I need you to believe in them, too!
My Project
I am asking for materials to help make my reading and math centers run smoothly. An organization cart, leveled books, and hands on math centers will enhance my classroom by giving students an opportunity to access quality resources while teaching them to be organized. Some of my kindergarteners are experiencing school for the first time, it’s important to set a foundation and a love for learning. In our classroom, students love center time. They look forward to it but we don’t have an organizational cart or enough resources to help centers run smoothly. This is why we need these items. Thanks in advance!
