This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love hands-on learning. I am implementing the Next Generation Science Standards into my classroom and want to provide inquiry-based learning through owl pellet dissection. The owl pellets that I am requesting will help my students enhance their learning in an engaging way. Students will be able to work together to explore this natural phenomena.

Using these owl pellets is a great way for my students to collaborate with peers while dissecting the pellets.

They will be given specific tasks to complete as a team such as identifying the animal bones they find in the pellets. As they work through this, they will gain a better understanding of each other. This will help my students understand how important it is to listen to each other, respect each other, and work as a team!

These owl pellets are a great way to incorporate engaging hands-on learning while meeting Next Generation Science Standards!
