Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are enthusiastic and curious about everything. All of our students live close-by and walk to school each day. Many of my students have parents who are immigrants and/or don't speak English. My students need as much support in school as possible, in order to help them to reach their potential.
The students in my class are excited to learn new things and love using technology to challenge themselves.
I hope to be able to foster this love of learning and encourage them to keep pushing themselves to reach their goals.
My Project
Since going back to school this year is looking a little different, I need to find ways to make learning more accessible for my students.
In my class, on a daily basis, we use manipulatives in math in order for students to get hands on experience and better understand concepts.
This will not be possible unless every student has their own set of manipulatives. This will also be great if we end up doing distance learning again, as these students will be able to bring their manipulative kits home with them and have access to the same materials they would if they were in the classroom with me.
