My Students
My students are in an Intensive Special Day Class. The students have various sensory needs, and require different materials to help teach them various skills. We currently work on various skills based on their IEP's. Even though they have intensive needs, they come to school eager to learn and face new challenges!! They require different and engaging methods to help them meet their goals. My students love visual supports and technology to learn about various things around them! Technology helps my students achieve new skills and maintain previously learned skills.
My students love hands on activities and learn new skills by playing with these activities!
My students are learning their various ELA and Math skills through cutting and pasting, using interactive activities, technology apps, and sensory play activities.
My Project
These materials are great and I have seen them in various Professional Development seminars for Special Needs classrooms! My students learn best with tactile objects that correlate with their IEP goals. My students are currently working on mastering their letters, numbers and also incorporating STEM activities in their day.
My students have made great progress so far, but using the Light Up Math Centers and the Learning Letters Activity centers will further their development and allow them to build and master these skills to become lifelong learners!
I am excited to have these hands-on activities as they will help my students with their various sensory needs and engage them into grasping the concepts!
