My Students

The students that are a part of the project based learning environment, Viking New Tech, exemplify the mottos of trust, respect and responsibility. Working through real-world problems helps to foster their creativity, innovative problem-solving skills and love of learning.

I love working with these students because they are kind, thoughtful, collaborative and creative.

It is a joy to watch the students grow and become leaders in their own unique way. I appreciate their work ethic, friendships and classroom culture that they help to create!

My Project

My classroom is project based and everything has a connection to the real world. Students learn through manipulating the information and applying it to real situations in order to increase their understanding. In many ways, this is accomplished through hands-on learning and modeling.

Students learning through inquiry, showing ownership of their learning and are able to create models to show their understanding gain a greater depth to their knowledge.

I truly believe in this method of learning and value student growth and input in the learning process.

These supplies will greatly impact my students' ability to accomplish these goals in a professional manner which will help prepare them for the world outside of high school.
