Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Sensory play is essential for young learners, especially in kindergarten. Many of my students need extra support with fine motor development, self-regulation, and focus, and a sensory table filled with materials like kinetic sand and purple play provides a fun, calming, and purposeful way to meet those needs.
These tools will allow my students to explore textures, build hand strength, and engage in hands-on learning that supports both academic and emotional growth.
Sensory bins also create a safe space for students who may feel overwhelmed, giving them a way to reset and re-engage with learning.
