Our literacy data is on the rise! Our students love coming to school and look forward to special small group learning experiences with their teachers. This project will provide materials to support students’ engagement in learning at the small group table. Students will use the sand trays to practice forming letters and spelling words in a tactile way. The use of sand trays can serve as a dynamic tool for teaching alphabet formation, enabling students to engage in hands-on activities that foster sensory exploration and fine motor development. Through this interactive approach, children can practice shaping letters in a playful and engaging manner, promoting a deeper understanding of letter recognition and formation. I believe that the introduction of sand trays will not only enrich our curriculum, but also create a stimulating and enjoyable learning environment in for our young learners. Your support in providing these materials would greatly contribute to the holistic development of our students.
