My students absolutely love learning with their hands. The most enjoyable and beneficial lessons I have had the opportunity to teach them are when they are using manipulative kits. I currently have very few items/kits, so I am looking to stock up as I start my teaching career. These items will help my students visualize their work and physically be able to move numbers around to find their meanings. Not only will these items help my current students, they will help my future students to come. These items will be beneficial to all students including whole group instruction and small group instruction. These manipulatives can be used to close learning gaps between grade levels, therefore reducing the amount of interventions needed in older grade levels.
