My Students
My students are great. They are mostly hard workers, who want to be in school. They are eager learners and love to do hands-on science!
My students thrive with science labs.
They are excited as soon as they walk in the door and see lab supplies on the tables.
My Project
I teach 7th and 8th grade science in a public middle-school setting. My students are excited to learn science, and on the days when we have a lab, the excitement is electric!
My students are craving "normal" science labs, where they can EXPERIENCE the science we're learning about!
The last couple years have been difficult for everyone, including my students. We have students who are no longer excited about school because of the virtual learning that they were subjected to. I want to allow them to experience waves, light, color, and sound. I want them to see ecology first hand, with the aquaponics system.
Learning science can be so much fun, and I want my students to fall in love with it through hands-on activities and experiments.
