Hands On Learning Is Exciting!

My students need addition puzzles to learn math in different ways, STEM kits to build marble mazes or small cars, soft seats to make floor work more comfortable, and reusable dry erase pockets.

My Students

My classroom is made up of 25 bright and awesome boys and girls. This year, they are looking forward to learning and exploring new things.

My students in the classroom love hands-on learning with math manipulatives, reading a variety of books, and using programs on the computer to learn.

As the school begins, my students will make many new friends and will learn how the school day runs. I cannot wait to see what the rest of the school year brings as they grow and develop.

My Project

My students love to sit on the floor to work and learn. They seem to focus much better when I give them the options for where to work. With the help of the soft seats, students may sit on them to make floor work more comfortable.

Physical materials give students a chance to touch, manipulate, and learn in their own way by exploring.

The math puzzles and STEM kits are used during center time where students can work to investigate how they function. The math puzzles have three different levels so they can be used by many different students to focus on their specific level at the time. The STEM kits come with a variety of cards that give directions on how to build different objects with Lego bricks. These include a car, a robot, a marble maze, and so much more. The nice part about the STEM cards is that they are reusable so students can build and when finished they can be put away and used again and again.

The wipe and write pockets are such a great item to have in the classroom so we can save on paper. During center time worksheets be put in the wipe and write pockets and when students are finished they can wipe off their practice sheet and give it to the next student to use. They are interchangeable so they can also be used for any subject from math to reading and writing.

All the materials listed above will benefit the students in a variety of ways. I cannot wait for my students to be able to use them!
