My students need educational games that can be used to practice key grade level skills in a fun and exciting way, both during whole group and small group instruction.
A day in our classroom is full of hands-on and engaging learning experiences that range from cooperative learning activities to direct instruction. Our day also involves whole group instruction, as well as a lot of differentiated small group instruction which allows me to best meet the needs of all.
My kids this year are energetic and sweet 2nd graders who are very eager to learn and enjoy being active participants in the classroom.
I want to provide them with a fun and enriching 2nd grade experience that will also provide them with the core content knowledge to be successful in 3rd grade and beyond!
My Project
I have requested many small group games such as main idea and cause and effect card games. I am also requesting games that can be used during both whole group and small group, such as time bingo and addition and subtraction bingo. My students love being able to practice skills we are learning in class in an engaging and fun way, and I know they will love practicing their skills on a daily basis through the use of these games. My students will use the requested materials in a variety of ways that range from whole group practice of skills, as well as small group instruction and centers. Students will love the interactive nature of the materials I am requesting, which will make learning the content fun and engaging.
My classroom currently lacks the materials needed to enrich the learning experience of my students through hands-on and engaging games.
We have the key materials needed to teach the content but the requested materials would add an extra level of excitement to learning the 2nd grade content!
