My students are full of curiosity and wonder about the world around them. They may have difficult living situations, at times, however they deserve to explore the science concepts I teach in my classroom.
I want my students to use these materials to have hands-on experiences with the science concepts I teach.
I plan to use these materials to explore changing states of matter with borax crystals & cornstarch. I want to have students make balloon rockets as well as paper & straw rockets when we study space exploration. I want my students to replicate convergent, divergent and transform boundaries when we study plate tectonics by using graham crackers and frosting. My students will use the twist ties and red solo cups when we study plants and ecosystems in the spring.
