Hands-On Learning in Kindergarten!

My Students

My students are energetic and love to learn! My students attend a low-income, Title I school. My students love hands-on learning. Many of my students have never attended a preschool or structured learning environment.

This year looks very different for us, but I want to make sure they have what they will need to be successful! I want to provide them with a safe learning environment for our return to school.

My Project

The goal of this project is to get more instant learning centers, such as Addition Flip Boards, I Can Build Simple Words, and Tactile Number Match-Ups, for my students. Research shows that learning games can increase grade levels up to 2 levels. The learning centers I have are well loved and my students would love to see new instant centers to choose from.

Children learn content but also learn important life skills through co-playing games.

Through observation of game play, students help each other, and teachers are able to correct many misunderstandings and misconceptions. Even though they only feel like they are playing a game, they are actually concreting math or reading skills.
