My Students

I am lucky to teach 20 wonderful kindergarten students in a small, rural community in Florida. My school is a Title I school, with 100% of students receiving free breakfast and lunch. Despite the challenges that my students face outside of the classroom, they are hard working and eager to learn each and every day. From the minute they walk in my door, I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. I love teaching kindergarten and I want my students to love learning!

My Project

These learning games will help my students master kindergarten standards through hands-on activities. Kindergarten students need hands-on activities to help them reach a greater understanding of the skills being taught. My students are learning to build and read CVC words, sight words, and sentences as well as learning addition and subtraction. Pop and Add to 12, Busy Bees Subtraction, and Tower of Sight Words are just a few of the games that would help build a better understanding of these skills and more.

Learning games will provide the students in my classroom an opportunity to interact with one another while also learning from their peers.
