I currently am teaching life skills in a Title I special education school. Within my school, almost 90% of students live in poverty. While the school has initiatives that provide students with free breakfast and lunch, many students are unable to come to school with supplies and spend time in classrooms that are not fully equipped with necessary materials. Every student deserves a quality education, and my children are no exception.
My students are capable learners who amaze me by what they accomplish daily and throughout the school year.
