I have the privilege to work with 34 bright, beautiful preschoolers each day. I teach at a Title I school in Oklahoma. The students at our school come from a variety of economic backgrounds. Many of the students receive free or reduced-cost breakfast and lunch. Despite these differences, all my young learners come to school each day eager to learn.
My preschoolers are creative, intelligent, and active learners.
I seek each day to provide developmentally appropriate activities so my young learners can thrive.
My Project
For many of my students, my classroom is the first opportunity they have had to engage with their peers. They are excited to interact and play with peers, yet they do not know how.
The isolation that has been necessary during the pandemic has denied my littles the chance to learn the give and take of cooperative play.
These materials will provide many opportunities for my student to interact with each other as they play and learn. Young children are concrete learners. Hands on materials provide the best opportunity to gain essential skills.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
