Hands- On Learning for Bright Minds!

Help me give my students in special education powerful tools to help with electronic-based learning communication and accessibility.

My Project

What I love most about my students is their courage, creativity, and determination. Every day, they come into our classroom ready to learn even when learning is hard. Many of my students face challenges related to academics, communication, or behavior, and many come from communities where resources are limited. But despite that, they are eager, curious, and full of potential.

Each student learns in their own unique way.

Some need visual supports, others need hands-on experiences, and many need extra time, encouragement, and flexibility. But all of them benefit from lessons that are engaging, meaningful, and accessible.

The iPad gives my students access to communication, creativity, and independence. Students who are nonverbal or minimally verbal uses technology  to express themselves.Educational games and interactive lessons build engagement for students who struggle with attention or traditional instruction. The MacBook allows me to design customized learning materials that meet each student at their level. It also helps me track student progress, document behavior data, and collaborate with families and support staff.

Electronics tools help students learn through touch, trial, and teamwork.

These kits allow students to explore cause and effect, which is especially powerful for students with cognitive or language challenges.

They promote problem-solving, turn-taking, and critical thinking in a fun, accessible way. Every student can participate whether they are building, guiding, observing, or communicating with a partner

In a Title I special education classroom, equity starts with access. Many of my students don’t have access to this kind of technology or hands-on learning at home. These tools help me remove barriers, close learning gaps, and create a classroom where every student no matter their background or ability can feel confident, included, and successful.

Because with the right tools, my students don’t just participate- they thrive.
