My Students

I teach 4th grade at a public school, and my classroom is full of bright, ambitious students who each have varying degrees of strengths and challenges. There are students who work at high school ability levels and students who struggle to read and write. The past few years with remote learning and homeschooling situations due to COVID, these struggles become even greater. Regardless of their individual abilities, every student loves learning in their own unique way.

For most of these students, manipulatives and hands-on learning opportunities allow them to learn beyond the walls of our class and enable the learning to come alive!

They eagerly look forward to our projects with inquiring questions "Can I really do that...?" Their interest alone demonstrates their desire to learn more!

My Project

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, our students have had very limited hands on learning opportunities. Their educational experiences have been hindered and have led to learning gaps. Their curiosity has been stunted by the sterile and restrictive environment they have been subjected to for the last two years.

The manipulatives and learning tools provided will foster an exciting and engaging learning environment for our 4th grade students which will assist social interactions, problem solving skills, and teamwork.

The supplies will ignite their love of learning and open a more in-depth understanding of science, technology, engineering, art, and math. They will experience success across multiple subject matters.
