Hands-on Learning Centers in Special Education Classroom
My students need hands-on learning centers to provide a tactile rich, visually and auditory stimulating environment to enhance their various learning styles.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Wong's classroom raised $798
This project is fully funded
My Students
My students have special needs and some of their attention span and learning styles vary and I want to keep them engaged in the learning process.
Our students are learning in a public school on Oahu with a diverse population of local students and military.
They are a bunch of eager learners and willing participants. I have a special education resource class with disabilities ranging from specific learning disabilities to children with Autism.
My Project
By using hands-on manipulative's and visually enticing educational products they will be engaged while learning, address their IEP objectives and work towards meeting the Common Core Benchmarks. Currently my centers are filled with items that are old and outdated. I would love to expand and fill my centers with current and engaging materials!
My special education students learn best by visually stimulating materials and they really enjoy hands-on learning.
By providing centers it will not only enrich their learning process but they will be engaged and become lifelong, self-directed learners!!!
