My Project
Clay is one of the few mediums that allows both hands to work with equal dexterity, engaging the entire brain and body. The rhythmic and repetitive movements involved in working with clay have been shown to release serotonin, dopamine, and oxytocin, promoting a calmer and more reflective state of wellness. At our school, over 160 students benefit from ceramics classes, which means we use a lot of clay! To meet our students' needs, we require Laguna EM-210 white clay. My goal is to enhance our ceramics curriculum because the arts teach students the value of reflection and self-expression. Having ample clay will significantly enrich this learning experience.
