Hands on Learning Basics

Help me give my students the everyday basics. We have lots of tech but not the basics!! Hands on learning is still needed and the best for the brain to retain information.

My Project

Science instruction must include hands on work and hand written notebooks! This works the best for the brain to retain information. These supplies will keep my classes going for a full school year with about 110 8th-grade students!

Interactive notebooks are handwritten and made with glued-in diagrams, pictures, and lab sheets.

Handwritten notes are key to getting the brain to retain information and training students to summarize information that has been read or discussed.

It is not unusual for a student to use a whole pencil in one 80-minute class period. Note-taking, filling out lab sheets, and marking measurements are just some of the tasks students complete during a regular class session.
