My Students
This year my classroom will look different, as I will support the blended learners while they are home. Through live daily sessions, my courageous students will be learning to read, write, and understand new math concepts. Our mix range of abilities and backgrounds makes our classroom extraordinary!
My students are creative, talented, and very enthusiastic about learning.
My enthusiastic learners are busy striving to do their best every day. Each day will bring new challenges and learning experiences, as well as some frustrations. Their parents are working hard to support them at home, yet sometimes do not have the resources to support hands-on learning. Our public school is in an urban environment and hosts a broad diversity of cultures.
My Project
Blended learning presents many challenges for my students. My previous project supported 32 students. My new teaching assignment as a Blended Remote teacher means I will have 64 learners throughout the week. These resources will allow the second class to have and use manipulatives at home to support their reading, phonic, and math lessons.
My students will need resources like dry erase lap boards, erasers, and makers to participate in live instruction.
My students will join in phonics lessons and use them to share and show their answers live from a Zoom. The dry erase pockets will allow my students to practice skills like letter formation to help build mastery. Having math manipulatives at home is crucial to help them develop their critical math skills. When we shut down so rapidly in the spring, I could not provide hands-on resources to my students, and they struggled through some math lessons.
