Hands-On Learning and Flexibility

My Students

I teach first grade at a Title I school. These students have only ever experienced school within the COVID restrictions.

They deserve a classroom filled with flexible learning tools that will make their learning environment fun, warm, inviting and stimulating.

These young learners have grit and perseverance and are eager to learn in person and within a collaborative learning community.

My Project

My students this year are experiencing so many social and emotional struggles due to the COVID-19 setbacks that prohibited them from attending and experiencing a normal Kindergarten year.

These students lack the stamina to sit properly in regular school desks and chairs; many of them never experienced a normal Kindergarten year or were unable to attend all together.

These desks will allow the students flexibility in their learning environment to help keep them engaged while also making learning fun. These tools will be used in small group and individualized learning sessions.
