Hands-On Learning: An Extensive Approach to Math & Literacy

Help me give my students a tool to use to help students understand abstract concepts through hands-on experience that enhance engagement and comprehension. These are: ten frames, number bonds, voice-recorded buttons, and some more in my cart.

My Project

Most of my students learn better through visual and kinesthetic methods that help meet their individual needs and allow my students to progress at their own pace and style, which can lead to deeper understanding and better retention of concepts. By using hands-on manipulatives, it encourages active participation, making learning more interactive and enjoyable. This engagement can lead to greater motivation and enthusiasm for math and literacy. It also encourages problem-solving and critical thinking as students explore various ways to manipulate and combine materials to achieve outcomes. Working with manipulatives often involves group activities, fostering collaboration and communication skills among peers. Thus, this project fosters a deeper, more meaningful learning experience that supports diverse learners and encourages lifelong skills.
