My Project
At our Pre-K classroom, we strive to create a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child—regardless of ability or background—can thrive. Our students come from diverse racial and cultural communities and include children with a range of disabilities and developmental needs. To support their early academic journey, we are seeking your generous help in providing hands-on learning materials that also serve as sensory tools. These materials will help us meet students where they are, ensuring they feel safe, engaged, and ready to learn through play and exploration.
Hands-on materials like sensory bins, textured puzzles, manipulatives, and adaptive learning games play a crucial role in developing fine motor skills while also reducing anxiety and overstimulation.
For many of our students, especially those with autism, ADHD, or sensory processing challenges, these tools are not just educational—they're essential. When children can touch, feel, move, and explore as they learn, they build stronger cognitive and emotional connections that support long-term academic success.
