My students need various resources due to their learning needs. Having hands on materials can be helpful to those tactile learners as well as the visual and auditorial learners who need technology.
As a special education teacher, my class size is no larger than 12 students. So far, I have a class of 12 amazing and unique children who each have their own learning needs and abilities.
As their teacher, I would love to open their horizons and availability to learning through various resources.
Since they each have different learning abilities and skills in one classroom, I would like to make each child feel successful at their own rate.
Opening up to hands on activities and different types of technology stretches our abilities pass the old fashion paper and pencil method.
My Project
These items for our class project will help my students of various learning needs to full fill their highest learning potential. I am always looking for new teaching methods and ways to interact and engage my students.
My project includes more than the old fashion paper and pencil method.
Using the DigiLand tablets will bring more than just pictures in a book to life during reading time. These tablets will be useful to my students who have trouble reading on their own and can listen/watch books online while I am working with another group at a specific time. Using the Beginning To Read Puzzle Set, Colors, Shapes, & Numbers Flash Cards and Ten Frame Playing Cards will help students learn through fun hands on center activities.
