Help me give my students the ability to perform hands-on experiments this school year! Each teacher needs a 3-Shelf Utility Plastic Cart to deliver supplies to each lab table to comply with COVID safety guidelines.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are Honors and Advanced Placement students who are extremely hard-working and absolutely love science. They are curious about the impact of science on day to day life and using the concepts we have learned in the classroom to understand the impact we have on our environment.
When truly inspired by something, they tenaciously pursue knowledge related to it.
I have students who are very much natural born leaders. They amaze me every day with their enthusiasm for science and love of learning.
My Project
My students love doing hands-on experiments and as their teacher, I very much prefer my students physically complete labs because it helps them connect more with the concepts I cover in class. I love to watch how excited they get seeing magnesium burn, observing color changes and even hearing chemical reactions that they perform themselves.
Seeing my students’ love of science take root during lab is what makes me love teaching!
In order to complete these hands-on experiments, we need to limit the movement of our students around the lab room in order to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and limit close contacts who would need to quarantine. Our solution is for each of our chemistry teachers to have their own cart with the supplies each group needs separated into bins that can be placed on lab benches prior to student arrival.
