Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are in kindergarten through fifth grade and may be a part of our classroom anywhere from a few days to six years. My program's focus is supporting students with mild to moderate Autism and similar disabilities.
Multi-sensory experiences are engaging and allow students to make tangible connections to difficult concepts.
The materials in this project can be used with our classroom's light table and will support all students as they practice basic math skills, increase math fluency, and incorporate new materials in building/engineering projects. When my students are occupied with hands-on activities, they forget that they are learning and making real-life connections to content!
