Hands on History

Help me give my students books and flexible seating so they have the chance to experience perspectives from several cultures as we study history.

My Students

The project will help students expand their historical knowledge and understanding.

The bulletin boards and maps are used to supplement the curriculum and help students organize their understandings with a geographic and global perspective.

My students range from struggling learners working to improve their reading and writing to Dual Enrollment students earning college credit. They are a wonderful group of kids and want to provide the best experience I can for them at all levels.

My Project

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. Allowing students to work in groups and being more movable in the room allows students to work with new groups. The books and resources will help students integrate into different ways to work as groups in the classroom.

Providing books and resources from multiple cultures allows students to see our nation's history from different perspectives.

This allows students to find themselves in our history and relate to our country in new ways.
