Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love the arts. My school is gives students the choice of a pathway for their elective classes: acting or design. To tap into the artistic leanings of my students is to engage them fully and show them the meaning within the mathematics that we learn.
I will use the Geometry tools for our math department to help students visualize and transform shapes to allow greater entry and access to the curriculum by making it more hand-on.
Students learn best through visuals and tactile activities, especially in Geometry. This will help our whole math department have the best tools to teach our student population.
