My Project

My students are active and curious learners. When I am able to engage their body as well as their mind, they gain skills more easily. If we had smaller parachutes that could be used in our classrooms, we could do activities at the carpet that would allow the students to move as they practice skills. I would also be able to offer my students a chance to explore in the sensory tub that has kidfetti more often because it is colorful and washable.

Students learn through play.

We currently have to go to the gym to use the big parachute and because the schedule for the gym is already filled up throughout the day, my students do not get this opportunity often. If each class had a smaller parachute that could be used in our room,we would be able to offer parachute play any time, any day. When we have bad weather, the students are stuck inside and having parachutes them an outlet for moving their body while inside. We also offer center time each day and our sensory table is a popular choice, but having materials for them to explore is limited. With washable kidfetti, we would always have a base for our sensory play.
